Gingerbread
Ingredients:
½ cup Alfa One Oil
½ cup brown sugar
¾ cup golden syrup
1 egg
2 cups flour
1½ teaspoons Hansells Baking Soda
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup oat milk
Method:
Whisk the Alfa One Oil, sugar, golden syrup and egg together in a bowl large enough to mix all the ingredients, until the mixture is combined. Sift in the flour, baking soda and spices. Mix to combine then add the oat milk and whisk until smooth.
Pour the mixture into a baking paper bottom lined 20 cm square cake tin. Bake at 180 degrees C for 45 – 60 minutes or until an inserted skewer comes out clean. Remove from the oven and cover with a clean tea towel. Leave for 10 minutes before turning out onto a cooling rack. Served sliced, spread with Alfa One Spread.
